Description
This piece of music is written in a compound time with repetitive rhythms in the right hand melody with the use of step-wise notes and scalic passages continuously moving in the style of a sailors' hornpipe. The piece begins in B flat major and modulates in the middle to the relative G minor when the melody changes slightly. Towards the end the original theme returns to end in B flat major. It is a light-hearted, fun style of piece at a moderate tempo.
